Circumstances of Finding:

Recreational divers found John Doe's severed head in the Otonabee River. Later searches could not find any other remains.

Circumstances of Death:

John Doe died by homicide, although the exact circumstances are unknown. After death he was dismembered, and only his head was found. 

It is suspected that John Doe was not from the local area as no one came forward to identify him and no missing persons cases were linked to his death.
